About Captivate Seattle

CaptivateSeattle.com was originally setup as a users group for education professionals to discuss the software Adobe Captivate. Captivate builds and edits interactive software demonstrations, games, podcasts, screencasts, simulations, program demos and lessons. Adobe Captivate screen capture evolved into an E-learning authoring tool from what started out as a simple screen recording utility known as Flashcam by Nexus Corporation. It was later sold to eHelp which was acquired by Macromedia who was in turn acquired by Adobe.

Introducing CaptivateSeattle.com

While Adobe is still hard at work developing and improving their Captivate screen capture and eLearning software, the Captivate Seattle users group no longer hosts the site nor owns the domain name. As of November 5, 2009 Captivate Seattle will become a site dedicated to anything and everything Seattle! Our plan is to add lots of exciting news about Seattle’s rich culture and entertainment happenings with perhaps a little bit of technology news thrown in the mix. Our main focus however, will be on business news. We plan on spotlighting some of Seattle’s most “Captivating” businesses.

Know of a “Captivating” Business?

Have a suggestion for our business section? If so, let us know. If we agree that it is in fact a business that could captivate Seattle, we’d be more than happy to plug them. You can reach us through the Contact Us form or by sending us and email to businesses.that@captivateseattle.com. So, give us your energetic, your successful, your outstanding businesses…
